This advanced clinical supervision training is designed for clinicians who have completed foundational clinical supervision training and are seeking to strengthen their ability to deliver corrective feedback that supports supervisee growth while maintaining effective supervisory relationships. Using the ARC Integrative Supervision Model (Assessment, Response, Context), participants will develop practical strategies for addressing performance concerns with clarity, confidence, and accountability. Participants will engage in applied learning through case discussion, guided reflection, and supervision scenarios, with a focus on identifying when corrective feedback is needed, communicating concerns effectively, and responding to supervisee reactions with intentionality and professionalism.
The training applies the ARC Integrative Supervision Model (Assessment, Response, Context) to corrective feedback conversations. Participants will learn to assess supervisee needs, select appropriate supervisory interventions, and integrate relational, developmental, cultural, and contextual factors into corrective feedback conversations. Emphasis is placed on balancing support with accountability while promoting supervisee growth, client welfare, and professional responsibility.
Attention is given to common challenges in corrective feedback, including defensiveness, withdrawal, emotional distress, self-criticism, and avoidance of difficult conversations. Participants will develop practical strategies for structuring corrective feedback conversations, responding to challenging supervisee reactions, and applying a consistent framework for delivering feedback with greater clarity, confidence, and intentionality.
