DESCRIPTION:

This training examines contemporary ethical dilemmas impacting behavioral health professionals through the application of ethical decision-making models, professional standards, and emerging best practices. Participants will explore ethical and legal considerations related to technology, artificial intelligence, online reviews, confidentiality, HIPAA, records requests, subpoenas, supervisory billing, and professional representation in modern practice.

The training integrates standards-based, principles-based, virtue-based, moral reasoning, and integrative ethical decision-making models to assist clinicians in navigating complex ethical situations across clinical, supervisory, telehealth, and organizational settings. Through discussion, case application, and reflective exercises, participants will strengthen their ability to evaluate ethical risks, apply ethical reasoning, and make defensible professional decisions in contemporary behavioral health practice.

This training is appropriate for behavioral health professionals, supervisors, and graduate-level clinicians across counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, and related helping professions.
