Description
This training incorporates regulations and recommendations for technology along with standards required by HIPAA, PCI, and HiTech for any counseling setting. This training meets the requirements for LMFT licensee requirement each renewal for those offering virtual counseling. Regulations and recommendations for technology are from the Texas LMFT Board, NBCC, AAMFT, ACA, and AMFTRB. A foundation of terms used in telemental health, resources, research, reimbursement codes are included and participants will use examples to submit personalized paperwork including a Telemental Health Informed Consent and Telehealth Informed Consent Supervision Agreement are provided for participants. Participants will be informed of privacy, security, and breach notification standards for HIPAA, PCI, and HiTech as well as administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect client records. Participants will use examples to submit a personalized Business Associate Agreement, Risk Assessments, and Policies and Procedures for their setting.

- Includes a drive of all necessary telehealth forms to use in your practice.
- The training has 10 hours of video and 5 hours of homework built in between the online videos for the training.
- Homework assignments must be completed and approved by Dr. Johnson at the end of your training before you will be able to access your evaluation and certificate.
- Please keep in my mind when completing homework assignments that each assignment corresponds with the video lesson.
- After completing ALL homework assignments, please email training@ccfam.com for Dr. Johnson to evaluate and approve your homework assignments.

- Telehealth Informed Consent and Telehealth Intake Paperwork
- Master list of suggestions and requirements given by associations and state boards for telehealth
- Creating a BAA agreement for your organization or practice
- Conduct a Risk Assessment of Security and Privacy Regulations
- Create policies and procedures to show a “good faith effort” to meet Security and Privacy regulations

She is the founder and owner of the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships, a large, thriving group practice that was established in 2007 and specializes in family systems and trauma-informed approaches. Dr. Johnson is also the founder and owner of CCFAM Training, established in 2012, offering supervision and ethics courses. She is also the owner of Play Therapy Training Resources, established in 2021. Through those companies, she provides continuing education, supervision, and consultations. She is also a teaching fellow for B.H. Carroll Seminary.
