At CCFAM Training we offer two different Supervisor Trainings

Here are some things to consider in choosing which training is best for you.

The Texas LPC & LMFT Supervisor Training was designed to meet the state requirements, share vital information regarding the administrative process in Texas, and keep participants updated on Board Rules & Code of Ethics for the state of Texas. It contains the required 40 hours of training, including Texas Ethics.
The Clinical Supervisor Training was designed for two reasons: 1) to meet the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) requirement for NBCC, 45 hours of supervision training, and 2) to meet the need of out of state participants looking for a Supervisor Training
This training is exactly the same as the Texas Supervisor Training, BUT all of the information pertinent to Texas was eliminated for this training to apply to any state and any mental health license.
Please note: NBCC is an association and has additional application and renewal requirements to obtain the ACS. Depending on the state in which you are applying there may also be additional requirements to become a supervisor for your state.

An advantage of the Clinical Supervisor is that it is a credential that signifies the quality of training you received as a national credential which may be accepted in more than one state. Like any credential, it shows that certain requirements were met, and NBCC is a nationally recognized organization.
ACS Requirements
45 hours of supervisor training or 3 semester hour graduate clinical supervision class
Hold a license that allows for independent practice or a NCC or a CCMHC.
Professional Disclosure Statement (provided in any of our Supervisor trainings)
Verification of 5 years of post Master’s experience including 4,000 hours of clinical experience.
Endorsement of 100 hours of experience of clinical supervision.
Either of our trainings can be applied toward the ACS credential. Our LPC & LMFT Supervisor Training can be paired with our 6 CE Texas Supervisor Refresher to provide all of the Texas information that is missing from the Clinical Supervisor Training and meet the 45 CE requirement. Another ACS requirement is providing 100 hours of supervision after obtaining your Texas Supervisor license. After reaching 100 hours, the Refresher can be used to renew your Texas Supervisor license and to apply for the ACS credential.
