This continuing education course is designed for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding and application of spiritually integrated care within a Christian framework. Participants will explore the foundational components of a Christian worldview and examine how these beliefs can thoughtfully and ethically inform clinical practice. 

The course offers practical strategies for weaving Christian faith, scripture, and spiritual disciplines into traditional, evidence-based therapy modalities. Through examples, case studies, and reflective exercises, participants will gain confidence in engaging with clients’ faith perspectives while maintaining professional and ethical standards. 

This course is ideal for clinicians who wish to strengthen their ability to competently and confidently integrate Christian faith into the therapy room, ensuring care that is both compassionate and clinically sound.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Define five core components of a Christian worldview and how they inform personal values and clinical perspectives 
  2. Demonstrate four practical methods for integrating Christian values, scripture, and spiritual practices into evidence-based therapy modalities
  3. Identify three common ethical, cultural, and theological considerations involved in faith integration within clinical settings
  4. Increase confidence in providing spiritually integrated care by exploring examples, best practices, and three reflective exercises that promote competence and sensitivity

 

VIRTUAL TRAINING INFORMATION

  • If you register for the Virtual Classroom training, make sure you have a good Internet connection.
  • Your computer will need a camera for you to be visible throughout the entire training to receive the certificate.
  • We will be using Zoom for the training, and I will send you a link by Tuesday evening of the week of the training.
  • You will need to download the Zoom program to be able to use the link.
  • Please note that during the training there will be one 15-minute break.

Kayla Dillman is a LPC-S and Co-Owner of GrowthPoint Counseling and Consulting in Colleyville. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University. Kayla discovered a passion for networking in the mental health field when she discovered how many therapists don’t network regularly or feel confident in their abilities to make meaningful connections with other professionals. Kayla specializes in incorporating the Christian faith into the therapy office, works as an adjunct professor, and is also an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist.
