BIO

Kayla H. Dillman is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, educator, and practice owner whose work reflects an integration of clinical expertise, relational engagement, and a faith-informed perspective. Since becoming fully licensed in 2018 and earning her supervisor designation in 2023, she has built a diverse clinical background across community mental health and private practice settings. Her experience includes trauma-focused care, work with autism and developmental concerns, and specialized group treatment for adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors. She currently serves as co-owner of a group practice, maintains an active caseload, and teaches in higher education as an adjunct faculty member.

Kayla’s training presence is shaped by her natural ability to build rapport and her commitment to equipping clinicians with skills that are both ethically grounded and immediately applicable. Her experience teaching counseling foundations, family systems, and human development informs a presentation style that is structured yet accessible; she remains attentive to the developmental context of both clients and clinicians. Her clinical work in equine-assisted therapy and trauma-informed care further contributes to an approach that values experiential learning and the thoughtful integration of theory into practice.

Her trainings often address areas that receive limited attention in graduate education, particularly professional networking, ethical practice in private settings, and the integration of faith within clinical work. Drawing from her own experience building a practice and cultivating referral relationships, she approaches networking as a discipline that requires intentionality and follow-through rather than surface-level connection. Her course design reflects an emphasis on helping clinicians evaluate how their professional habits align with long-term goals, while also offering strategies that can be implemented in a concrete and measurable way.

Kayla is particularly effective in translating professional development concepts into frameworks that feel both practical and attainable. Her work reflects a balance of encouragement and challenge, inviting participants to deepen their competence while strengthening their confidence as developing professionals.
