Dr. Rhonda Johnson is an LPC-S, LMFT-S, Registered Play Therapist™ Supervisor, Trust Based Relational Intervention™ Practitioner, EMDR Consultant, and Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner. She is the founder and owner of the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships (CCFAM), a large, thriving group practice that was established in 2007 and specializes in family systems and trauma-informed approaches. Dr. Johnson is also the founder and owner of CCFAM Training, established in 2012, and Play Therapy Training Resources, established in 2021. Through these companies, she provides continuing education, supervision, and consultation.
Nik Johnson

Nik has been a private practice counselor working in North Texas since 2017. He works with children aged (4+), adolescents, and adults, specializing in complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and play therapy. Previously Nik worked at an agency in Missouri providing play therapy to children in the foster care system. He offers continuing education to professionals especially within the topics of working with developmental trauma, dissociative disorders, and play therapy.
Cristina Alvarez

Cristina has been a private practice counselor at the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships since 2018. She earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015 and became Licensed as a Professional Counselor in 2018. Cristina is EMDR Trained and is an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist. Her prior experience includes counseling in a private university setting where she helped college students cope and adapt with life transitions and as a crisis counselor for children in schools. She works with adolescents, parents, and adults, specializing in trauma work.
