BIO

Jody Scott Jones did not begin his career in counseling, and that broader path still shapes how he teaches today. Because he has worked in both corporate and pastoral settings, he brings a grounded, real-world perspective to the way he teaches. He is EMDR certified and has advanced training in integrative mental health and nutrition, giving him a practical understanding of how brain, body, and behavior work together.

Jody has led trainings for clinicians, churches, and community groups, often focusing on trauma, relationships, and emotional health. He is known for his authenticity, steady presence, and well-placed humor. He tends to think in patterns more than prescriptions, helping others understand what is happening beneath the surface rather than rushing to quick answers. He also developed the Ebb and Flow framework, a relational model that explores how people think, relate, and respond under pressure, and how meaningful change takes place.

He currently serves in leadership and supervision roles while continuing to train and equip others. His work is driven by a simple idea: when people understand the “why” behind their patterns, they are far better equipped to move forward with intention.

Jody Jones is the Clinical Director at Foundations Counseling in Southlake Texas. He is also the Co-founder of Watershed Way Training Collective and a speaker, trainer, and published author. “Scream Without Raising Your Voice” and “Jody’s Journal for Therapeutic Self-Awareness” are both available on Amazon.
