Description: 

Are you up to date with major changes to rules from the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and LPC, LMFT, LSW, and LPSY Board rules from 2020-2024? This training will utilize Texas state licensing Rules, Codes of Ethics, and How to User Guides. A PowerPoint with a question-and-answer format will be used to identify significant areas and commonly missed rules of professional practice including CE renewal requirements, the therapeutic relationship, confidentiality, professional responsibility, relationship with other professionals, evaluation and assessment, supervision, and each board’s How to User Guides for technology and telehealth. Participants will identify current and new rules and apply them to professional relationships, paperwork, and professional practice through ethical dilemma scenarios.

*Resources included with this training are: summary of all changes to board Rules and Code of Ethics from 2020-2024, current Proposed rules for 2024, and an excel CE table to track CEs for state licenses and other certifications.

Dr. Johnson is the founder and owner of the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships, a large, thriving group practice that was established in 2007 and specializes in family systems and trauma-informed approaches. Dr. Johnson is also the founder and owner of CCFAM Training, established in 2012, offering supervision and ethics courses. She is also the owner of Play Therapy Training Resources, established in 2021. Through these companies, she provides continuing education, supervision, and consultations. She is also a teaching fellow for B.H. Carroll Seminary.
